Spend the day at Cederock Park located 30 minutes from Mackintosh on the Lake; a 414 acre park, one of largest county parks in North Carolina. Enjoy hiking, horseback riding and mountain biking through the trails, surrounded by cedar trees and fields of wild-flowers or maybe spend a leisurely afternoon fishing in the pond. The park is also a popular and beautiful place for weddings and receptions.

The Burlington Recreation & Parks Department operates four marinas on three lakes. Lake Mackintosh Park and Marina offers boating, sailing, skiing, fishing (from the bank and boats), picnicking sites, and walking, biking and jogging trails.
